START A CHAPTER

Starting a local chapter of the Student Dental Business Organization puts you in a unique position to learn by doing. You’ll organize events, choosing the ideal venue and finding speakers that you want to learn from. You’ll recruit new members, and have the chance to hone your leadership abilities all while gaining wisdom from business-minded industry professionals.

At some point you may have had someone tell you that corporate dentistry is the way of the future, and that single-owner practices are going by the wayside. Once you start your own chapter, you’ll meet industry leaders who can assure you that this isn’t the case. You’ll get an inside look into the best practices for running a successful business, and help your fellow classmates along the way.

SDBO’s primary goal isn’t to tell every dental student that they need to own their own practice to be successful. It’s true that practice ownership isn’t right for everyone, and that’s okay! We’re simply here to help you understand what it takes to run a successful practice, so you can figure out what’s right for you. You’ll have the chance to learn and grow and ultimately gain the knowledge to pursue your ideal career with confidence
